Pretty much I should be doing three hundred other things right now though so here's a little look at what my phone has been doing.

This is what campus looked like a couple weeks ago, it was a beautiful death trap of ice.

Jordan actually ate this for breakfast the other day, I wanted to gag.

I REALLY wanted to buy this and paint it blue and change "telephone" to Police Box. It however was REALLY expensive.

Eva lost her first tooth!

Yup, that's about as interesting as life has been this month. Oh and I cut like 6 inches off of my hair and haven't wanted to cry about it once yet!

i am a complete anglophile.

I am currently obsessed with most things British. I can't help it. It is slightly out of control. I know 99% of the 9-11th Doctor's episodes by heart. I drool over Mitchell in Being Human. I want Sherlock to be my friend. I crave Kinder eggs for not only the chocolate but the amazing collectible little toys. I want my house to be decorated in soft colors and WALLPAPER. Americans it seems are only allowed to enjoy wallpaper if they are over 60. I drink tea non-stop and if I had the money, I would have an AMAZING tea pot collection. I search for egg cups, not because I like soft boiled eggs but because I see them on every show I watch lately. I have read not one, but three Agatha Christie books in the last year. I am saving up for a pair of wellies. I can't lie, it's fun to be "currently obsessed" with something.

READ me!

I HIGHLY recommend the two books that I have read over my Christmas Break.

This is the third book in Richard Kadrey's Sandman Slim series. I love these books. Mainly, being an ex-Catholic girl, I really get into all the religious mythology that Kadrey has created. I mean there's nothing like reading a book where it seems like Lucifer may actually be a cool guy to sit around and have coffee and a cigarette with and listen to how he really just wants back into heaven (don't worry that wasn't really a spoiler). Start with the first novel Sandman Slim and enjoy how messed up LA is.

I laughed my butt off while reading this. I want to hang out with Mindy Kaling so badly! If you liked Tina Fey's Bossypants, this is completely up your alley. It's hilarious. Enough said. Read it.

holy on the ball batman!

I have kicked the beginning of this new year flat in the face. I figure I may as well start at full steam since I'm sure by the end of February I will have caved on all resolutions. Since yesterday I have (with the husband's help, of course) cleaned this condo from top to bottom, planned out all dinners for the rest of January, changed and washed all sheets, paid off the only gift we put on a credit card, knocked out a good chunk of my last "for fun" book, cleaned out my desk, made a new family calendar, got all of the ceremony photos scrap-booked, AND taken down all the Christmas decorations. I want a nap, BUT I feel great, organized, and ready to take on the year.


Resolutions:
1. Get organized.
2. Save money.
3. Not be chubby anymore.
4. Plus my 30 before 30 list.

Pretty sure these all correlate. I get organized, by planning meals, which saves money and more chub because it means no "Well I forgot to pull something out, let's just go out to eat."

2012 is going to be wonderful!

i love december...minus the snow.

First of all, the Elf on the Shelf comes out. He likes to hide in different spots every morning so that Eva has to find him. First day he didn't hide too well so that she knew he was visiting. I got this adorable one from Heidi Kenney last year!

Also I can get Eva to wear adorable hats. She of course needed this owl one, more like I needed her to wear it. She joked she was part of my collection. 

I made a tree skirt, the one I intended on making last year but never got around to it. It's super easy. Just cut two circles (I used a cotton fabric and fleece), cut a hole in the middle to go around the base of your tree, cut a line through one side so the fabric makes a "C" shape, sew them together, then sew bias tape around the edges! It took me an hour, easy peasy!

I had to take a picture of this at Meijer, seriously there are Twilight branded hair tools. It CRACKED me up. I, of course, immediately sent pictures to my sister-in-law. 

 Check out my new shiny oven I got for Christmas, talk about find of the century. The silly thing was 50% off because of some ridiculous scratches that you can't even see! My husband can smell a deal from fifty miles away I think. What's fun is that things may actually only take as long as they say in the recipes now!!! No more three hour cheesecakes that are only supposed to take 2!!
We made cookies tonight! They were a little too close together on the pan oops!

Little Miss was busy decorating the tree while I made the cookies. I had to space some of them out and put them up higher since she's a little bit on the short side ;)

I really do like all the Christmas fun. If the snow can hold off for a while longer I will be a happy happy girl. I'd really prefer it only snow ON Christmas, but Michigan doesn't seem to play that game...

what we were up to in november!

We've been doing a lot of this, I try to study and Eva colors or reads next to me. It's not exactly as productive for me as it should be, but Eva thinks she's cool because she's "studying" too.

We of course occasionally break for Steak n' Shake. Really I think we may have only gone once in November, that's weird for Eva and me...

Bowling was the cool new family fun time of the month. Eva LOVED it, we will have to find some more coupons though cause who knew bowling is SO expensive! 

Lastly, this was my kitchen mid-baking the day before Thanksgiving! It looks like a bomb hit. BUT it was wonderful even with all the clean up I had to do. I actually used every spatula that I own, and I think I own like 17!!
